This girl not only explains everything that i was reading up on just last night, but also puts forth the information in a personal and still APPROPRIATE attitude. She isn’t screaming on her social network accounts about how stupid\ignorant\blind others are for trying to join in a cause—because that in itself is not the problem here.

The problem here, is that the Kony video was convincing enough to stir so many people across tumblr, Facebook, and twitter towards helping for this cause, without putting enough information about the cause itself out there. And now we see why: for whatever reason that is still not clear to me, either this IC organization doesn’t know these facts about Uganda themselves, or they are fully aware and would like to keep fattening their wallets….I don’t know. 

By no stretch of the imagination am I trying to be condescending about this, I too watched that video and I too teared up when the Ugandan boy started crying at the loss of his brother. But because I was so moved, I googled the events taking place and found not just one site, but several various blogs, articles, and charity sites that all cast a shady image of the IC and exactly what is going on in Uganda now.
